Where to record a podcast in Lisbon
Every studio in Lisbon will tell you it is the right one. Here are the criteria to check instead, applied to ourselves as strictly as to anyone.

We wrote this because 'where should I record' deserves an answer that still makes sense when the answer is not us.
Criterion one: the room, not the microphone
A famous microphone in a bare, echoing room loses to an ordinary microphone in a dressed one. Ask any studio what the room sounds like before you ask what is on the mic stand.
Our podcast set in Alfama is dressed permanently — table, plants, soft furnishing, curtains — because the room is the first piece of equipment.
Criterion two: gain behind the microphone
Broadcast dynamics like the Shure SM7B need around 60 dB of clean preamp gain. A studio that cannot tell you its preamp headroom will hand you noisy files. Ours runs the SM7B and Rode Procaster into a Rodecaster Pro II, specified at up to 76 dB of gain, with a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 for multitrack.
Criterion three: a booking flow you can finish
If booking takes a week of emails, the show will not stay weekly. Our rooms are booked online through the bridgr booking engine with live availability and card or Apple Pay payment — podcast studio from €450 for three hours including VAT.
Criterion four: honest fit

Choose a different option if you need a music live room for a full band, a large audience in the room, or a location outside central Lisbon — those are different buildings, and no single studio is right for all of them.
